Sometimes I set the Link to REF001C and REF005A, sometimes to REF006C that makes real good traffic.

Linking AK4EG is NOT restricted. All local operators can do it!
Ralf (DL5RW)fromGermany had a nice Idea to make the Repeater Coverage to a show,

Old remembers:How it started in Burlington. Testing started without gateway in Okt.2007
April 2008

It started in Oct. 2007. A german Ham Group from DOK F10 Werra Meissner ,taught me about Dstar.

They just had a few Dstgar Radios at this time. I bought my fist D800, and traveled to Germany to find out more.

after I came back I got the VHF Dstar repeater and Controller and Burlington was on the Air with my call sign AI4UE.

KB4HG was already working at that time.

I try to learn fast all I could about Dstar. In Jan 2008 until March the Repeater was without Duplexer on the City Garage K4EG. then back to the House, Duplexer Testing . Adding UHF also..

Then it moved to the final position at the Fire Tower Road, Snow Camp in Aug. 2008

Under the Eyes of Don Miller, HF Specialist all around, that System, now AK4EG, is doing better and better.

We have spent a lot of time and money already on it to have it , where it is now !

And we're still not Finished!

Also thanks to KJ4BEE, K4LAL and the Software master Ken KC4YOZ and Torsten DG1HT and Markus from Hamburg,

Without these Hams with Amateur Radio in the Bood, it would not be like it is now, in Burlington, NC

Big thank you to all,  AI4UE  Repeater Admin of AK4EG

We have our own Hewlett Packard HP 8756A Scalar Network Analyzer

10Mhz to 60 Ghz

Measure insertion loss and gain, return loss, and absolute power quickly and accurately with the 8756A scalar network analyzer. These scalar measurements can be performed over a broad 10MHz to 60GHz frequency range.
The 8756A features two independent display channels with separate controls. Complete measurements can be performed using only five control keys for each channel.

Make even faster measurements with one key - the "Autoscale" key. Press it and the built-in microprocessor chooses the optimum scale and reference level to display your measurement. Use the convenient display cursor to read out magnitude and frequency at each data point.
